About Me
Therapist in Training
Whether you’re feeling urgency around something specific or you have a desire to explore your life more deeply, I can offer you a space to slow down. Through deep listening and empathy, I will act as a guide, companion, and co-creator of new possibilities in your life.
As a therapist in training with the Create Institute, I am passionate about using art and imagination in order to help you navigate life’s challenges and find your inner resources. Maybe you want to explore the impact of anxiety on your relationships through conversation, or maybe you want to express your stress via movement or the arts. Either way, I will help you to connect with yourself in an embodied manner and find practical ways of coping with some of the problems that you are facing.
I bring with me a rich background in counselling. Specifically, I have spent the last 10 years completing professional trainings with a focus on trauma informed work, embodied work, and relational neuroscience. Additional professional trainings include: Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor, eating disorder trainings, relational neuroscience, Emotion Focused Family Therapy Level 1, Body Centered Coaching, Hakomi, mindfulness, and introduction to Polyvagal Theory and sensorimotor systems.
I am currently completing my practicum placement with Martin Vera, MSW, RSW.
